Joel is an academic at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Otago where he leads several projects in drug discovery. He is also the Associate Dean (Marketing, Communication & Engagement) in the School of Pharmacy. He is the Co-Director of the D4 (Diagnostics, Drugs, Devices and Discovery) network which focuses on translating ideas into the market.
