Claire Porima

Claire is the co-Manager of Audacious, sharing the role with Thomas. Claire is responsible for maintaining the strategic vision, and setting the direction and management of the Audacious programme.
Claire has what she terms a 'portfolio of career opportunities' which include project management at the University's Office of Māori Development, and running her well-established Business, Career and Life Coaching practice. She is passionate about developing Māori entrepreneurship, she is the current Chairperson of the Otago/Southland Māori Business Network Board (www.kuma.co.nz) and has developed Māori /English inspiration cards (www.IraCards.co.nz) as a contribution to the well-being of people through the lens of Te Reo Māori.
Claire has been involved in family businesses in property, fishing and forestry. Her previous career included ten years in the NZ Diplomatic Corps in Wellington and at overseas embassies; Marketing Manager in the banking and telecommunications sectors; voluntary work; business coach for an iwi enterprise; Māori entrepreneurship tertiary curriculum development; and executive coaching. She is passionate about using positive psychology and coaching in the workplace and for individuals. Claire is of Waikato/Tainui descent.
