WORKSHOP 1 : Lean Business Model Canvas

A recap and introduction to the world's leading BMC

Dr. Mitra Etemaddar, Director of the Masters of Entrepreneurship Programme at the Otago Business School, was the guest lecturer at the workshop.  Dr Etemaddar introduced the lean Business Model Canvas , and took participants through each of the sections using international business examples and videos to exemplify the complexity within each section.

Dr.Etemaddar provided interactive exercises, had everyone working in teams and presenting their ideas back to the group.  Even for those who were familiar with the LBMC, the exercises still revealed new perspectives on business planning and prompted ideas in relation to their own business plans.

Because the participants were from both polytechnic and university, and are studying across all disciplines and faculties, the breadth and depth of experience added to the interactive vibe of the workshop.  An international cohort and from different generations also contributed to the learning.
