This year has been a roller-coaster ending on a high with a successful Audacious Challenge Awards Evening 19th September 2017 at the HUB, Otago Polytechnic.
The last event of this term was the Audacious Challenge Awards Evening Term 2 - 2017 held at the HUB, OP on the 19th of September, reuniting Students, representatives from the Dunedin Business sector and Academic representatives from Otago University and the Otago Polytechnic to celebrate student success.
The grand winner was Harvey Penfold, supported by Tahu MacKenzie for their Peka Peka Bird Feeding Platform.
Investors and the business community generously provided them with practical support for their business: Vodafone with a smart phone; website development from Firebrand worth up to $3,000, $1,500 worth of legal and taxation advice from WebbFarry, and an investment of $5,000 from Otago Community Trust.
Second was Connor McNamara-Spackman with Snug Cup, who received an investment of $3,000 from the Otago Community Trust.
Third was Andrew Martin with Dotted Line, who also received an investment of $2,000 from the Otago Community Trust.
Mikade Barns Graham with Food-Mate was awarded the special prize of $1,500 worth of legal and taxation advice from WebbFarry.
Next year 2018, Audacious is going to be even bigger, better, bolder.
