Heidi Renata joined us for Workshop Four, the pitch practice session.
Heidi contributed with appropriate comments and her experience provided useful observations for the teams pitching.
The first team presenting was Finn Shevell and Kirio Birks company 100 co. This time they described a charity, celebrity T-Shirt idea people could buy for several reasons: - they might be a fan of the celebrity - a supporter of the charity or - an art-lover that buys the T-Shirt because of the artistic value.
Second up was Rahul Sen and his Alcohol and Drugs Institute. In New Zealand, 90.7% or the population have consumed alcohol, 28% cannabis, 7, 8% MDNA and more than 33% want to reduce their alcohol consumption. That’s why New Zealand is a good country to establish this Institute.
App-Marketing team of Rob Burroughs, Grayson Orr, Mark Gowans and Olufemi Olusina followed with their discount-App for trade fairs, where you scan your app in every stall and win a price!
Curtis Stent and SafeBuy was next. His app will make car inspections a lot cheaper, by photographing the damage, and /or recording a defective engine sound and sending it to a specialist mechanic. The mechanic then send back the repair solution that a retired mechanic who still want to be involved sort out with the customer.
Griffin Hadland presented his app for time-poor, money-rich people, which an increasing population belongs to according to Griffin. Amazon Business will store the toothbrushes, shavers, and other products that are offered on the subscription-based app.
He also spoke about a massaging tool with handles on both sides that you can roll along your legs, neck or back giving relief to stressed and painful muscles. It is only at the drawing-stage.
Jaimie Wood finished the Workshop with her and partners Emily Williams idea of getting rid of sweat marks and odor from men’s underarms and shirts. Market research shows that over 50 % of men want to find a solution for this. The concept the girls offer include three layers of undershirt in bamboo material the first take the moisture off the skin, the second absorb the sweat and the third stops it from showing.
